Ash Wednesday - part of the Christian tradition and the beginning of the season of Lent

To-morrow is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent,

the major fasting period of the Christian Church,

which lasts approximately forty days

until Easter Sunday

which remembers the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
